Bend it like Ferguson

All this fresh air I'm getting on my suburban walks into work has given me a cold. I'm over it now though, 40 min walks are a bit of a shock to the system but it's actually really nice. Lots of posh houses around here and often not a single other person to be seen. I saw a fox yesterday and that was about it. Just walking isn't enough exercise though. I'm looking forward to a bit of football this weekend. I'm going down to Eastbourne for an Alpha weekend. I've only got white astro shoes though and I hate white football shoes. It's a clear sign of the person's ego I think. Shame most of the England football team wear white football boots. May explain why we can't even beat Australia!

Gangs of New Malden

I'm in! All unpacked and ready to go in my new place. It's nice too, except the other day I turned the shower on and it decided not to let me turn it off even a little bit afterwards... Otherwise it's great, that's been my only problem... oh, and no internet yet. Hopefully soon though!

Since I'm moving this weekend, nimisis.com will be down from friday for a week to ten days while the new phoneline gets connected.

3 days to go

Yup, that's all I've got left at Hoare Lea. Right now I'm very excited about the new job. Sort of 99% excited, 1% scared. You hear these stories of people turning up on their first day at work, sit down at their desks, look around at the people and say to themselves, "Oops!" ...but I'm sure that won't happen. It's not going to be like The Office. Speaking of which I got series one of The Office on DVD the other day. Absolutely brilliant. If there's one part that stands out as particularly wonderful it's Episode 4, "Songtime," where David Brent gets the guitar out at the motivational seminar. Priceless. Thing is, the songs are quite good! "Free Love Freeway" is fantastic, almost as funny as watching my dad playing rounders. (I'll save that one for a slow news day.)

The Wind Waker

The next Zelda game coming out on the Nintendo Gamecube is called, "The Wind Waker!" That's a terrible name! Surely a 15 certificate straight away...

If they ever work out where to hold it and I'm not moving that day then I'm quite tempted to join the anti-war march on 15th Feb. I'd probably get beaten up and trampled to death by the estimated one million peace protesters mind you but it'll probably be worth it. I've tried to see both sides of the argument but a war does seem inexcusable.

So, an important question - what should my banner read? At the moment I'm going for (to quote Michael Jackson in that duet with Paul McCartney), "I'm a lover, not a fighter!" Any suggestions?
