Happy hamster
Today, Dave is not a happy hamster. Apparently, this very house, in which I'm renting this little (but nice) place, is now on sale. I only found this out after noticing the sign outside. Great! I then read an email from my previous estate agents who are clearly mixed up and complaining about me drilling holes in the wall and taking away a sofabed - all untrue. So I'm going to have to fight for my deposit... We're going to (as the americans say it) "tangle ass." Below is the email this woman sent me, and I should explain here that she looks a little bit like Katie Holmes (pictured) but just read it and maybe you'll conclude what I did about how she got the job. ("Gaby" is the boss who's hired her.)

Security checks
I had to take some Taiwanese clients on the (British Airways) London Eye yesterday. We all loved it, it's fantastic. I took some photos too. It's great the way they make out you're actually going on a real aeroplane, checking in etc. Mind you they did do a security check and everything, and each capsule was scanned by people with metal detectors before people can get on. The check on my bag wasn't very thorough. Maybe they're just looking for people who look a bit like this guy (inset).
Why does it take so long for broadband to be set up now I'm in New Malden? How does Justin Timberlake make his voice go so glass-breakingly high in his version of "Cry Me a River"? What is the Capital FM £60,000 London Sound? These are some of the mysteries I've been pondering this last week. My only conclusion is that the London Sound is an umbrella opening, what do you think? Anyway, at least Nimisis is back online now and we're back in business! Finally, I feel whole again.

Bend it like Ferguson
All this fresh air I'm getting on my suburban walks into work has given me a cold. I'm over it now though, 40 min walks are a bit of a shock to the system but it's actually really nice. Lots of posh houses around here and often not a single other person to be seen. I saw a fox yesterday and that was about it. Just walking isn't enough exercise though. I'm looking forward to a bit of football this weekend. I'm going down to Eastbourne for an Alpha weekend. I've only got white astro shoes though and I hate white football shoes. It's a clear sign of the person's ego I think. Shame most of the England football team wear white football boots. May explain why we can't even beat Australia!

Gangs of New Malden
I'm in! All unpacked and ready to go in my new place. It's nice too, except the other day I turned the shower on and it decided not to let me turn it off even a little bit afterwards... Otherwise it's great, that's been my only problem... oh, and no internet yet. Hopefully soon though!
