Walked down the Strand this evening expecting to see rioters, well, rioting I guess... you know, generally doing their stuff but was frankly disappointed! I wasn't going to join in, was just looking forward to a baton charge or maybe like a water canon nailing some poor bloke to a wall... No such luck. There was evidence of the mounted police everywhere though. My friend and I had to go to the IMAX cinema for our dose of excitement instead. "Ghost of the Abyss" was quite good - a version of Titanic without Leo and Kate. A third of the length, no up-chuck-reflex-inducing scenes and an extra dimension - so all together much better on the movie!

Someone at Channel 5 has a sense of humour. They're showing that film Outbreak during this time when this Acute Respiratory Syndrome Epidemic bug is becoming quite a serious pain in the backside. It's reducing the fittest of people, some even fitter than Hungarian weightlifters I bet...

I went to an orientally themed birthday party over the weekend. Had predicted that someone would come in an anti-Sars face mask but apparently they're hard to come by now! All sold out. Did you know that Sars is so bad now that it's been promoted to being called Acute Respiratory Syndrome Epidemic...?

Extra! Extra! SClub7 have split up! Oh no! I wonder if they'll be called SClub4 and SClub3... or SClub6 and SClub-no-mates... At least SClub juniors are still together. Phew. There'll still be quality music in the charts - like that gangster rap one. Can't remember the name of the song but the only lyric I can make out is "give me a hug"... I'm sure it's a great song though. No really I do.

Have you seen that Honda advert yet? You'll know what I'm talking about if you have. It's amazing. One of the few you can just enjoy. Genius. The wheels going up the ramp looks strange but my colleagues and I reckon they're weighted. They must be. It's all real apparently - but it took 606 takes to achieve it!

The war in Iraq does seem to be over but I really do think that we should still consider it as being potentially still very dangerous. If I was stuck in Tikrit without a paddle I might release a whole can of chemical whoop-ass on anyone trying to capture me if you know what I mean. I'm just saying...
