Been messing about on a video capture project for the best part of two weeks now. What fun! I've caught the IT manager scratching his backside in one mpg, a guy in sales doing a very strange dance down the corridor and a colleague picking his nose and sneezing (truly shocking when viewed in super-slo-mo). All this playing has shown me that writing a little webcam program isn't that hard, so I've knocked one up right here on nimisis. (See the webcam link on the right of the page?) So now you can watch me scratching my backside... not in video though, just a snap every couple of minutes. Well, when it's up and running. I'm not going to run it all the time though. I only live in a studio flat and I might forget it was on when I'm turning in for the night... the world may not yet be ready to see me na*ed.
Cheeky I know but I'm hoping that this phrase (let me remind you, it was "see me na*ed") will boost my search engine rankings a bit! All for the wrong reasons I know, but hey...

Ah, it brings joy to my heart when England win a test match... I found this today - it's a little clip that has also brought joy to many people's hearts (even though it's about an English batsman getting out...). Yes, it's Brian Johnston's famous "leg over" clip.

Two and a half months since my last post... but I'm back. I've been very busy - have been to Paris, Taiwan, Woking and Oldham (clearly the last two were the highlights), moved house to Surbiton and had a birthday. The new place is quite nice! If you're interested in a virtual tour, you can watch a little one minute video I've taken of it. It's a big file though - 9.2MB so please right click here and "Save Target As..." (whatever you want).

If you managed to watch last night's "The West Wing" you might have heard Mr President Martin Sheen say that "behind Kashmir Taiwan is just about the most dangerous place on Earth." Well, that may be a slight exageration but being half Taiwanese I found a good quick timeline of US-China-Taiwan relations for those interested here.

I'd need to rob a bank to be able to afford to buy a house here in Surrey but with this online mortgage calculator I've made I'll at least be able to see how big a bank it has to be!

Judging by the trailers it's seems safe to say that fans of Toy Story and Monster's Inc won't be disappointed by Pixar's latest film - Finding Nemo.

If any of you like me are suffering from end of football season blues, here are two good links I've come across - A virtual tour of the new Wembley Stadium (tickets on sale now...) and Shaolin Soccer. By all accounts it looks like a classic. One of my colleagues just got the dvd from CD-Wow and I'm dying to borrow it off him!

It's Bank Holiday Monday and while some people have just been chilling at home others have been climbing Everest! But why bother, when you can still enjoy a panoramic view of the summit here?
