Off to Taiwan

So excited - off to Taiwan tomorrow for 2 weeks to visit the parents. Not used to staying with my parents any more. Incriminati is a stupid little game but is also showing me a few handy tips.

I'm about to go mad! I was supposed to be online with broadband three weeks ago... still nothing. Am suffering serious withdrawal symptoms. Sorry, but Eclipse does not have my seal of approval.

Paint By Numbers

The fruit of my labour for the past couple of days has been a solver for these paint by numbers games that can get ever so frustrating. Yes, I DO need to get out more. To be fair though, these games can get quite challenging. Maybe a quick way to know what the right answer is will be of use to someone else too?

Countdown's Numbers Game

Just finished writing a little java applet mimicking Countdown's Numbers Game. I absolutely hate Countdown and can't stand Richard Whiteley but still, the Numbers Game can sometimes be challenging... Pretend to be Carol Vorderman and have a go...

Can people be any more bitter than those on these sites? I'm sure that some of these revenge tactics could be classed as serious criminal offences...

Kissing golf balls

Was watching the open golf final today which was quite exciting but I must ask, does Levet really have to kiss his golf ball quite so often? What a stupid thing to do. I heard that there was this guy who used to lick his golf ball to clean it probably and he died because fairways are always sprayed with this stuff which is poisonous... pesticide maybe? Not a terribly good idea Monsieur Levet!

Church was really good again this morning. Met Kirsten who has a son going to my old school! I found out because she went up to the front to tell the congregation how thankful she was to have found a school for her son and happened to be the person sitting next to me. I then chatted to her and, out of curiosity, asked which school her son was going to go to. I love the way God does that. She had been really worried about getting him into a secondary school. Well, he's going to a pretty good one. They now live in the lap of luxury at that school, with microwaves, Sky TV and Playstations! <old man voice>In my day, we only had a toaster and 2 hot plates... we didn't even have curtains!</old man voice>
