Spammer in jail

Yesterday was a great day. No, not because Hedgehunter won the Grand National and no, not because Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles got married. It was great because someone has finally been punished for spamming. On top of that, Arsenal FC beat Middlesborough, Manchester United lost (to Norwich Delia Smith) and Chelsea only managed a draw to Birmingham City! In case you hadn't noticed I don't like Chelsea FC very much...

Mugshot

Mugshot is a home security application I've written that uses a digital camera or webcam to detect motion in your home. If an intruder, burglar or even nosy housemate is seen, a snapshot is taken and emailed to you. So, should the thief steal your PC or laptop computer, you can still take the pictures of the perpetrator to the police for identification and provide evidence of the crime to authorities and insurers. This is a method of crime-prevention that has had well-publicised successes.

Rugby Sevens World Cup

The Rugby Sevens World Cup in Hong Kong this weekend was awesome. It was nice to see here who Melrose Cup winners the Fijian team credited with their win.

The most popular words

Came across a good word the other day, "mollycoddle." It wasn't used in reference to me I might add but it was new to me... Indeed it's not in the WordCount database. This is a page listing almost ninety thousand of the most popular words used in the English language. Quite interesting if you like that sort of thing...

How much?

It's surprising how much spyware can work its way onto your computer. The spyware removal app available from this website is pretty good.

Clever number plates

I'm making a driving simulator for work at the moment and the virtual cars that make up the surrounding traffic could do with some personalised number plates that are clever/amusing... Can you think of any? All suggestions welcome!
