Another Update: Lots of visitors have been coming to Nimisis.com via the search engines so I've made my own little Wii stock checker.
Update: Even though I mentioned new stock notification services before as useful for getting your hands on a Wii, signing up now to their email list is too late. By the time you get an email they're all sold out. You're better off downloading URLy and checking the relevant Amazon page for significant changes (i.e. more than 60 individual changes) every couple of minutes.

The Ashes are lost, thanks mainly to Shane Warne who was the leading wicket taker this morning at the Waca. England's latest capitulation means that they're now 3-0 down in the 5 match series, but I wonder if that's a fair reflection on the relative ability of the two sides...
What's contributed to such a poor performance? Take your pick from under-preparedness (Harmison's epic wide at the very start of the 1st Test Match at Brisbane hinted at that), Giles dropping Ponting before he became a centurian at the Adelaide Oval, not picking Panesar till the 3rd Test or key umpiring decisions that were poor (just ask Andrew Strauss what he thinks of his LBWs).

Apparently children with high IQs tend to become vegetarians. Actually I can swallow this, being non-vegetarian. Besides, if you're trading meat for quorn then you really deserve a break.
Correlations like this are quite interesting. Freakonomics is an excellent book I read recently about seemingly unlikely links and trends. (It's not economics really, Freakstatistics probably just didn't sound as good.)

Ignoring the fact that you'd get a serious amount of neck strain from having one of these, you've got to admit that the new giant monitor from Siemens would make quite a cool Christmas present. Imagine how great it would be to hook a Wii up to it!

The mega marketing machine that is the Coca-Cola advertising department always goes into overdrive at Christmas. People drink it, and that's great... Until perhaps they find out what Coke actually does to the human body.

The amount of snow at european ski resorts is drastically less this year, so I guess that means no skiing this year. But hey, there still is a way to keep up those ski skills - take an online ski lesson. Go through some of the questions to narrow down what you need work on and they provide useful tips!

If you're thinking about creating a website, or are unhappy with your current hosts, I'd recommend Siteground.com. I've just changed from my hosts and they've come up trumps. The monthly rate is cheap and it comes with a free domain name too (if you commit to 1 or 2 years' hosting).
