Glenn McGrath turned 37 today and to help him celebrate England beat Australia in the first match of the Commonwealth Bank Series finals! A team-mate also hit him on the head with a cricket ball. Maybe that's why he was dropping catches... Poor guy!
I think this was made in and around Plymouth... Grab a webcam and Flix to make something similar.

The latest addition to my list of homebrew applications is a Google PageRank calculator. If you have a website and want to do some search engine optimisation this will hopefully be a useful tool.
I thought I'd also use this entry as a place where comments can be posted for PR score comparison purposes, so feel free to add what your site scored, how many pages were crawled and the number of calculation iterations performed.

This site is packed with links to video lectures and podcasts on all sorts of subjects and is well worth checking out!

Only a few weeks left now until the Cricket World Cup schedule begins! West Indies 2007 promises to be as exciting as ever and to help you follow it, here's a wallchart for you to print out and fill in as the tournament progresses. (Actually, an Excel spreadsheet version would be better I think... Maybe I'll whip up something over the next few days...)
By the way, my Duckworth Lewis calculator is freely available for use during the forthcoming matches to help discern how each game is going and who's winning. It's not only useful for rain-affected matches!

And when I say thrash, I mean a comprehensive victory. We beat Australia by 92 runs in Sydney!

As folk are still struggling to find them, I've extended the Wii in stock notification service for our American friends as well as UK residents so check it out to find a Wii for sale! They're still pretty rare but my email list has still got fewer than 100 subscribers so hurry to be near the top of the email list.
From the feedback I've received 4 people got hold of one when Amazon had them for sale yesterday morning so well done!

It's famous for its adverts as much as anything else, so this year the best Super Bowl commercials are also being done YouTube style. I'll be sound asleep I expect, being here in UK, but at least I now have the option of checking them out on Monday morning.
