Update: This idea has now become a website in its own right at PriceCutReview.com.
Amazon had a sale recently which has now ended sadly, but it got me thinking. Everyone likes a sale, so why not try to find the products on Amazon that are going for a heavy discount? That's exactly what "Half Price Bargains" does. I'm unveiling it today so grab yourself a deal! (The UK version is here.)

Late fees and penalty charges are unfair and illegal so there's been a mad dash recently to claim back six year's worth of money from the bank. Some sites are profiteering a bit by saying they'll do it for you for a commission but there's no need! Step by step instructions including template letter you can print out are here. The best thing is it's almost guaranteed you'll get all your money back (including interest) from unfair bank and credit card charges because the banks are desperate not to appear in court. Not a single one has so far!
Cricket World Cup 2007 now enters into the second stage called the Super 8s. How does this work? It's explained very well here. In related news, Kevin Pietersen is now top of the batting rankings! Well done Kevin.

A little while ago my colleague Martin through no fault of his own got run over by a car, well, got run under and hit more like. Both came off pretty badly in the accident, a head injury and a smashed windscreen. The photographic evidence is below and inset is a close-up of a clump of hair the windscreen took off him. Anyway, the reckless driver's going to court and a claim should result. Martin's fine now... that's to say, we can't tell any difference...

The eagerly awaited Playstation 3 has been released in UK! If you want one but find that shops are now out of stock, you could sign up to my notification service, where you'll be emailed as soon as stock hits the shelves.

Tomorrow sees the UK release of Amazing Grace (trailer here), based on the true story of William Wilberforce and his part in the Abolition of the Slave Trade Act almost exactly 200 years ago.
Unfortunately, slavery is still around even now and there's a site here dedicated to making it a thing of the past.
I find that quite often the best and most useful information is not written down, but passed on by word of mouth. With the advent of podcasts it would of course be good to be able to search through those too. Well, Podzinger does just that. With some voice recognition technology, you can search in their database of audio (and video) and the results show how far into the media the word you're looking for turns up!
Google's missing a trick here. Though having bought up several companies recently (namely Adscape and Trendalyzer) maybe they'll target them for purchase too?

I'm not a doctor, so I'm not sure if I believe it, but this guy claims that gargling with cayenne powder instantly heals a sore thoat. Worth a try I suppose!
