Spore, one of the most eagerly awaited video games in recent years is now available for pre-order in UK and US! So I jumped the gun a while back saying that the Spore release date was in Dec 2007... Hopefully this makes up for it a bit.

The sound of booing from eighty thousand French fans could be heard only eight minutes into the opening game of rugby world cup 2007. It's now the day after and I don't think they've stopped yet.
This tournament was supposed to resurrect some pride in a nation still reeling from sporting failures such as losing the bid to host Olympics 2012 and last year's disappointment in the football world cup. They were the bookies' favourites after the (four-more-years-boys) All Blacks. Surely the group is now Ireland's to lose?

New sections showing listings of music CDs and DVDs available for purchase at half price or less have been added to PriceCutReview.com. There are even some very new releases!

Two Chinese brothers are trapped in a mine... no, this isn't the start of a joke. They survived for five days without food and fresh water, but their sense of humour remained intact. You have to read the full story to see which bit (I hope) might have lost some meaning in translation, because describing one's wife in such an ungracious way seems very un-Chinese!

The latest version of Google Earth has a new feature which allows you to flip the default view (looking down upon satellite imagery of the earth) to looking up at imagery of the night sky gathered from telescopes.
No longer do you have to buy a telescope from ebay to do some star gazing (a bit pointless anyway if you live in an area with bad light pollution). Seeing all those billions of stars does make you feel pretty small though!

The Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa will be upon us in a couple of weeks. Get your wall chart (excel spreadsheet), check the fixtures and support your team!

If you're a frequent eBay user like me, you probably have a Paypal account. And maybe having done a virtual car boot sale or two have found yourself in the fortunate position of having a small slush fund... The problem for me has always been that this money always seemed destined to go back into the purchase of some item on eBay. Sure, they, being the biggest online auction site, have a massive range of stuff. Still, it'd be nice to have some choice.
The good news is that online stores that accept Paypal are popping up all over the place. Some of the bigger ones are below:
Of course we accept Paypal for the software on this website too!

As if football tickets weren't expensive enough already, three teams in the English Premier League (Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham) have decided to raise their ticket prices still further this season. They deserve to be named and shamed! It's interesting to note that after this first weekend of action, all three are in the bottom half of the table. In fact, Spurs and West Ham are in the relegation zone!
