Euro 2008 wall chart

Noticed in Switzerland last week that everywhere you looked there were posters for the upcoming European football championships. So I guess it's not too early to bring out the MS Excel spreadsheet for the tournament. All the fixtures are listed and group standings are calculated as each goal is scored. Engadin ski marathon 2008

Been training for the last couple of months now and the day is fast approaching when I'll be hauling myself around some snowy part of Switzerland with a few thousand other blokes with skis for 26.2 miles. No, it is NOT downhill. Search on YouTube if you'd like to see what it's all about. Will report back when I return in a week and a bit!

The great quake

There was an earthquake in UK early yesterday. Officially recorded to be 5.2 on the Richter scale, with an epicenter in the midlands. I was awake when it happened, and it was possibly the smallest quake I've ever been aware of, yet it still makes the front page of the newspapers here. What a complete joke! Thankfully no one was hurt, but something above 6.0 (10 times worse than 5.0 by the way) is more to shout about...
