What's next after Wall E?

Allow me to introduce Pixar's "Up", their next offering to be released in May 2009. Disney has also got another film in production due out six months earlier (Nov 2008) called "Bolt" which you might also like to check out.

What do McCain and Obama stand for?

Can't really help you there. But here's a useful Google gadget that performs a video search through the speeches made by the two presidential candidates for keywords such as "health" or "Taiwan" to hear what they've said about those issues. A search for "change" by Obama might yield a fair few results!

Free tickets to British Motor Show

The British International Motor show is now on at ExCel London. Tickets cost £20 but if you spend £30 or more at Burton, you get a pair of tickets for free! There's still a week left of the show so plenty of time! Note also that tickets are going fairly cheaply on eBay...

More Olympic volleyball please

I'm a bit of a volleyball nut. And I want to see more of it covered on TV during the forthcoming Olympic Games. So I've written a letter to the BBC and I'm hoping you might also want to send in should you feel the same way.

Btw, In doing some of the research I stumbled upon this article about the history of volleyball.

Fighting cancer

Here's a little plug for my godfather's charity -

Show us a better way

The UK government have come up with a good idea! Show Us a Better Way is a competition that invites ideas for making better use of public information. These could be for improving health, education, justice or society at large. Some of the ideas already posted are really quite good... The prize fund is worth £20,000!
