Justice for Jeremiah

In 2003 a school friend of mine called Jerry Duggan died in suspicious circumstances. Jerry's family have fought for justice, but to date there has been no proper investigation.

Please support the public forum happening in Berlin this Friday, 17th October, which aims to highlight the dangers posed by the LaRouche group and will continue to petition British and German authorities to conduct a thorough investigation.

Gmail users might be interested to have a look around Settings -> Labs to find add-ons the Gmail team (and also 3rd party developers) have made. Now Gmail just have to sort out filtering the really obvious junk mail that creeps into my inbox everyday. They used to be so good. Come on!

iPhone vs G1

Further to a previous post, it looks like Android does still have downsides. Unlike the iPhone there is no PAYG yet, and the headphone jack is non-standard. It also looks like they're going to do the usual thing of ripping off UK customers by charging them a contract rate of £40 per month (c.f. $30 in US).

No answers yet on whether they can differentiate themselves by allowing users access to the internet from a laptop, and whether VOIP apps like Skype can be run...

Macgyver problems

MacGyver was a tv series that many in their 20s and early 30s will remember fondly. I used to look forward to it so much! Admittedly it is very dated compared to say The Wire or The West Wing. But if you also were a fan, check out this inspired Wikipedia article that lists all the MacGyver inventions.
