To be perfectly honest, I think this site deserves one of those web awards of some description. I've seen some frankly schoolboy HTML efforts get "Cool Site of the Day" or something similar so I think I shall give myself the "Website with the Least Visitors" award. Believe me, it's justified.
Maybe after my imminent move to www.nimisis.com you'll all start to notice me...

Played some of the best volleyball of my life today. The "Downing Villagers" did so well! We got out of Group C (the group of death) and into the quarter finals undefeated but then lost the plot against the Zoology department. I hate animals now. Shame... but we did well.
See the results.

It was great to watch Denmark play like they had a plane to catch. Got quite abusive during the match... I called them citizens of a stub of a country, full of Vikings and only worthy of acid rain... Sorry, very embarassed and ashamed now. World Cup fever is taking over!
Bring on Brazil or Belgium.

Signed up for broadband today and can definitely recommend Eclipse.

Still shattered from yesterday! Oli, a mate from school, came to visit, bringing Mary-Anna (a friend from Paris).
We went punting, pubbing, and wandered around large colleges; fairly standard things to do for a day out here.

Not the best England performance I've ever seen but still, we're through, and the icing on the cake is the fact that both France and now Argentina are out. Woo hoo! Coming second in the group may not be all that bad. At least the next match against Denmark won't be in the sweltering heat of the afternoon (as it will be for Sweden against Senegal) but the more comfortable cool of the evening.

Wow, the pressure is overwhelming... then again maybe not. I know that I'm getting absolutely no visitors to this site at the moment! Maybe if millions of people do start to visit in later years they'll come back to see what the first ever entry was. Sorry to disappoint you.
Well, I'd better go. That's enough excitement for one day, plus I need to go to bed early in order to get up for the England vs Nigeria match tomorrow!
