This golfer conveniently bounced one off of his fiancee to win his first PGA tournament. He must be a really good shot... to have won the tournament of course...

"They misunderestimated me!" - George W. Bush. He cracks me up, which is oh-so-very scary.

Whilst the clocks go back and most of us here in UK are enjoying our much needed extra hour in bed, a friend of mine in Oxford will be performing the "Merton Time Ceremony", which involves walking around the quad backwards drinking port as the time is supposedly standing still. The "Words of Advice for Freshers" is priceless, especially the last two. Freaks, go to a decent university.

My So Called Twin

...didn't bear even a passing resemblance to me. Shame really, there could have been a lot of fun to be had. He was only similar in his incompetence at playing the guitar, breaking two of them during consecutive "songs". Guess that's one of the risks you take when you bang strings constantly for 15 mins. <sigh> I'm clueless as to how I'm going to cope with the loneliness of my individuality.

As you may have noticed, I'm trying to link to some of the amusing posters found at despair.com, which are much better than those cheesy "motivational" ones. I went on a factory visit last week and they had loads of these patronising posters on the walls about "", "Achievement", "Challenge" and "Teamwork"... I personally think that a much better way to motivate the staff would have been to divide up amongst them the shed load of money spent on the bits of junk...

If anyone fancies coming to my twin brother's concert in Kentish Town tomorrow night, come along by all means! (Well, a couple of people think he's my twin brother... I'll find out soon enough.)

Was it in "Finding Forrester" that the budding young author is told to write as much as he could so that he'd find out what was actually good writing? I'm pretty sure that J.K. Rowling also said something similar about her lead up to creating the Harry Potter books. So, for the aspiring writers among you, here's something to try out, "NaNoWriMo."

Still haven't done any sort of training for the London Marathon... I need to have (to quote a Friends line) "The Fear." Besides, my application will probably get rejected and well, some people take training just far too seriously!

Run In With The Barber

I've been considering the option of getting my eyes lasered recently. 999 per eye is of course expensive but when I consider the cost of contact lenses and glasses over time it does even out. I've heard that it affects one's night vision post treatment so more enquiries need to be made... Anyway, the reason I mention this is because I just got my hair cut and look like a Shaolin monk. This wasn't the plan. Had been too lazy to put my contacts in today and so took off my glasses whilst the deaf barber of marylebone got the shears out. Only realised the outline of my head was looking a little too small and too round too late. Off now to buy a baseball cap.
