This is what I think of Halloween.

A rejection letter from Microsoft for a place on their graduate scheme appeared on my doorstep yesterday, dated FOUR MONTHS after I was told I had got a second round interview. Am annoyed. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. I'll admit that the appeal of MS was the XBox and the possibility of working on that, but then again thinking about it the video gaming industry may not be the best thing to go into, with some other companies behaving quite disgracefully too. They do make great games though. Look at the name of the guy in the picture of this latter article. Is this a joke?

I have a beautiful futon that seldom fails to give me a good night's sleep... but I've got to admit that this bed is very appealing considering the overwhelming tiredness that is afflicting me this week!

This golfer conveniently bounced one off of his fiancee to win his first PGA tournament. He must be a really good shot... to have won the tournament of course...

"They misunderestimated me!" - George W. Bush. He cracks me up, which is oh-so-very scary.

Whilst the clocks go back and most of us here in UK are enjoying our much needed extra hour in bed, a friend of mine in Oxford will be performing the "Merton Time Ceremony", which involves walking around the quad backwards drinking port as the time is supposedly standing still. The "Words of Advice for Freshers" is priceless, especially the last two. Freaks, go to a decent university.

My So Called Twin

...didn't bear even a passing resemblance to me. Shame really, there could have been a lot of fun to be had. He was only similar in his incompetence at playing the guitar, breaking two of them during consecutive "songs". Guess that's one of the risks you take when you bang strings constantly for 15 mins. <sigh> I'm clueless as to how I'm going to cope with the loneliness of my individuality.

As you may have noticed, I'm trying to link to some of the amusing posters found at despair.com, which are much better than those cheesy "motivational" ones. I went on a factory visit last week and they had loads of these patronising posters on the walls about "", "Achievement", "Challenge" and "Teamwork"... I personally think that a much better way to motivate the staff would have been to divide up amongst them the shed load of money spent on the bits of junk...

If anyone fancies coming to my twin brother's concert in Kentish Town tomorrow night, come along by all means! (Well, a couple of people think he's my twin brother... I'll find out soon enough.)
