Bereavement fares

A tip that hopefully you'll never have to use - if you have had a death in the family and need to fly to the funeral, some commercial airlines offer bereavement fares that are around half the price of a full price ticket. Not all offer this though as they would argue that cheap airline tickets are something they already offer, but I'm glad that businesses are sensitive to this sort of thing. A copy of the death certificate apparently is all they need.

Tags: travel, tip
