Top 5 iPhone apps

Here's my list of essential iPhone apps. (Bit biased with the fourth one perhaps...)

  • Shakespeare: The complete works of William Shakespeare (free)
  • TapDefense: An addictive game that's also very hard (free)
  • Truphone: Make even your iPod Touch a phone via VOIP (free)
  • iScrollr: Display scrolling text to communicate across a crowded area ($0.99)
  • TubeStatus: Get updates of any underground delays. Versions in other cities also available (free)

Enjoy!

Big idea big exhibition

Last weekend some friends and I went to the Natural History Museum to see the Darwin exhibition. Personally, I believe in the Creator of the Bible, but have no problems accepting macro-evolution in animals to a certain extent. So I was interested in evidence for abiogenesis, speciation and how persuasive the monkey-to-human link was. Unfortunately the exhibit left me pretty unsatisfied! But hey, it was a fun day out.

Unsurprisingly, the internet is proving to be a quite a good source of information. Working out how reliable sources are seems to be the hard part though... Here's a controversial (secular) website called Science against Evolution.

Sync Google Calendar with iPhone

Here's the utility many mac users have been wanting for a while - something that'll sync iCal with Google Calendar. With that working you can automatically have the new iCal appointments synchronised with your iPhone. How cool is that?!
