You can't afford a decent logo for London 2012?!

When the original bid to host the Olympics in 2012 was accepted there was already a perfectly good logo. A bit boring perhaps, but, you know, it wasn't humiliating... it didn't show complete ineptitude. Now they've gone and replaced it with something that looks like a broken swastika. Over 80% of 17000+ votes cast on the BBC website give it the wooden spoon.

Come on guys! The budget is ~~£2.4bn (July 2005)~~ £9.35bn (March 2007)!

Apparently they paid Wolff Olins £400K to design this. Look at their website http://www.wolff-olins.com/ It's singularly the worst one I have ever seen!
