Gmail users might be interested to have a look around Settings -> Labs to find add-ons the Gmail team (and also 3rd party developers) have made. Some of them could potentially be fairly useful, though one or two are slightly unusual... For example, "Mail Goggles" will pose some maths questions before a late night email is sent just to make sure that it's not something you'll regret the next day... Hmmm.
Now Gmail just have to sort out filtering the really obvious junk mail that creeps into my inbox everyday. They used to be so good. Come on!

The UK government have come up with a good idea! Show Us a Better Way is a competition that invites ideas for making better use of public information. These could be for improving health, education, justice or society at large. Some of the ideas already posted are really quite good... The prize fund is worth £20,000!

Stuck for an idea and running out of time? Saw the Fisher-Price Smart Cycle on the Gadget Show the other day and thought it would make a great present for a child. A way to have fun and give them some exercise at the same time! Available in US and UK. More gift ideas coming soon!

If someone could somehow gather all this information, quantify it and create a google maps mashup, I think it'd be a winner!

Finding a parking space near your train station or place of work is difficult to start with, finding a cheap one is nigh on impossible. So, someone made ParkatmyHouse.com. Seems like a great idea. They take 10% of the rent, but that seems reasonable!

In addition to the ideas I've described the last couple of days, here are a few more free entrepreneurial ideas. Coincidentally, the current series of Dragon's Den ended today but if you're interested, there's a sort of online version called Running the Gauntlet.
